To be 100% honest, I'm not so sure that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to relationships, because at the ripe old age of somewhere in my early 30s, I'm still yet to be wed. Despite this little tidbit, my friend, Sean, seems to think that I give amazing advice about the crazy nuances of women and what it is we really want in a date or boyfriend, or what it is that's put you into the "friend zone" with seemingly no warning. He told me that I ought to start a column, and I decided it was worth a shot.
Also, on my side I am a woman with lots of friends and have heard of or experienced all sorts of relationship issues, which gives me a wealth of knowledge from which to draw. I'm not here to try to tell you what you should think or do; rather, I'm here to tell you what she's likely thinking when she says or does something based upon what you say you've said and done.
As the self-help books say, "Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus" or "Women speak pink, and Men speak Blue." I'm just here to be your friendly anonymous translator...hope I can help bring you happiness, love, or at least a sense of, "Seriously?? That's what she meant by that??" and the dawning realization that you really don't have any idea of what women really want...because most of the time, neither do they!!
Oh, and my disclaimer: all of my advice is mere opinion. Every woman in this world is different. I can give some representation for some very small percentage of the population - probably a larger percentage of the US population than the total world. Ladies who stumble across - please don't be offended by my words - they are my words and opinions and not to be taken as the "end all, be all" of the advice world, so if what I say doesn't fit you, then just leave a comment with your opinion of what does fit you! We can all learn and grow from our exchange!
